Grooming a Shiba Inu is relatively easy due to their self-grooming habits. However, they do have a double coat that goes into a heavy shed twice a year.

During this time, frequent brushing is beneficial. It’s also recommended to bathe your Shiba Inu every 3-4 months, or when they’re visibly dirty.
